I have not been a very good blogger lately! Drew and I have been so busy with work that we haven't done anything too exciting to write about. I've been going up to Houston every other weekend to visit Drew and start moving things to our apartment so it won't be too hectic right before the wedding. I still have so much more to move, ahh!
Last weekend, we got to see Cliff & Missy right before they left for spring training. It was so nice to spend some more quality time with them before they had to go to Arizona. We miss you guys already!!
I'm so swamped with last minute wedding planning that I feel so overwhelmed. I try to remind myself that it's not about what the details are and the planning that goes into the wedding but the reason why we are getting married. I actually found this amazing book called "Inviting God to Your Wedding" and it has constantly been there for me to pick up and remind myself that God is the number one reason why marriage exists and why we love one another. I recommend this book to anyone that is engaged. It has truly been an inspiration to me.

What a wonderful holiday season it was!
Let's just say that this post is going to be EXTREMLY long! I haven't posted in ages and so much has happened over the Christmas holidays. Since my Graduation we had Christmas! And man did we have a Christmas... 2 to be exact. Christmas morning was spent with Drew's family and then as soon as we finished lunch we hit the road for New Braunfels to have Christmas with my family. This included... immediate and extended family. It was so wonderful to see everyone. Here are some pictures!
Our 4th Christmas together!
My sweet Mama!
After Christmas we drove back to Corpus to prepare for the two upcoming showers that Drew and I had. Saturday evening was the "Stock-the-Bar" shower hosted by my best friends and bridesmaids. It was such an awesome party!! All of the girls invited our wedding party as well as friends from high school, college, and our families! It was the best night. The rule was that everyone had to bring something for Drew and I to stock our bar... little did we know that we would end up with enough spirits to last us for probably 20 years! The shower of gifts included: 5 bottles of Crown, 7 bottles of Vodka (including Grey Goose, Svedka, and Smirnoff), 2 bottles of Patron, 4 bottles of Jack Daniels, 3 bottles of Dewar's Scotch, 1 Jagermeister, 1 Disaronno Amaretto, 1 Amaretto de Amore, 1 Flor de Cana Rum, 1 Jameson, 1 Bacardi 151, 1 Parrot Bay Coconut Rum, 9 bottles of various wines, 1 corkscrew set, 4 martini glasses, 6 of my Waterford stemware, 2 A&M freezer mugs, an ice tea dispenser, and a tin bucket with "Dueitt" painted on the side :) Let's maybe change that 20 years to about 30 years...Party at Drew and Becca's soon anyone??
After our fun-filled night at the Stock-the-Bar shower the next morning was Sunday and I had my first Bridal shower! Mrs. Laurie Gordon, Mrs. Kylie Adamson, Mrs. Kitty Dudics, and Ms. Gina Dudics were hostesses. It was the most beautiful shower I'd ever been to! There were so many cakes, cupcakes, breads, fruit, brownies, and cookies than I have ever seen! It was also decorated so beautiful. I had such a wonderful turnout and received so many presents! A few of them were... Better Homes & Garden cookbook, Electric Skillet, Crockpot, Kichen Aide Blender, 4 of my Vera Wang china dinner plates, 5 more of Waterford crystal stemware, some place settings of my everyday silverware, my canisters, and many more items. Also, a really exciting part of the shower was that everyone had to attach an ornament to their gift to help decorate Drew and I's first Christmas tree after we are married! I can't wait for next Christmas when I get to put all of these gorgeous ornaments on the tree. Here are some pictures of the Bridal/Ornament shower!
Needless to say, we had an amazing holiday! We are looking forward to my Kitchen/Recipe and Louisiana Couples shower in February! I was so tired after all of this partying and going and going that wasn't even that excited about New Years! We did celebrate with a bang though... I'll post pictures soon. Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday with their family, friends, and neighbors. We pray that God has blessed you!
Godspeed.
