Christ has RISEN!

Drew and I had a wonderful Easter weekend with my family in New Braunfels this past weekend. My Dad is the new minister at The First United Methodist Church in New Braunfels, so it was so nice to be there for his first Easter service. My parents were transferred from Corpus to New Braunfels last June so it's almost been a year!

One of my older sisters, Katherine, and her family also came for the weekend as well! My mom, Katherine, and I did a lot of shopping and I bought more clothes for the honeymoon and a dress for the rehearsal dinner. We also ate some wonderful meals and had such a great time spending time and fellowship with the family. My nephews were sooo excited when the Easter bunny visited Sunday Morning :) I miss those days! My Grandmother Wyatt who is 98 years old was also able to come to church with us on Sunday morning. I'm so blessed to still have her in my life and I look up to her so much for her strength. Here are some pictures from the weekend.

11 more days! :)

2 weeks away from the big day and some EXCITING news!!

We are finally 2 weeks away from the BIG DAY! Can you believe it? I sure can't! I have to pinch myself everytime I think about how close it is because I don't believe that it's really so soon. We are so ready to finally become husband and wife. I know that the Lord is working in us and preparing our hearts for marriage and we could not be more excited about it.

The exciting news is that our very good friends, Cliff & Missy Pennington, are expecting their first baby in November! We are thrilled for their joy and excitement and we cannot wait to meet Baby Pennington. The Lord is good!

Also, this weekend is Easter! This is one of my favorite times of the year because I am reminded of how the Lord died for me and for you to carry away all of our sins. We are so blessed to have such an amazing and glorifying God. Remember tomorrow why we celebrate Easter and what we have because of him dying for us. It's not just about the yummy Easter Cadbury Creme Eggs, chocolate, Easter bunnies, and good fellowship with friends and family... it's about him, our beautiful Jesus. Have a wonderful Easter everyone!
